President Obama’s statements regarding the proposed Ground Zero mosque are the latest in a series of indicators that we are at a very peculiar pass: We have a president who doesn’t get America. For the first time in history we have a president whose default setting is in opposition to the general sensibilities of the American people. His behavior too frequently suggests that he’s playing a cosmic joke on Americans’ essential decency, considered patriotism, and belief in American exceptionalism.

Tarpon Springs, FL, Motorcycle Accident Fatality

TARPONS SPRINGS, FL: At approximately 9:20 p.m. on August 6, James Barile, 36, of Homossassa was killed in a motorcycle to cage accident in Tarpon Springs, Florida. State police say 77 year old Marilyn Hedger was traveling East on Bryan Lane in her 2010 Cadillac SUV when she collided with the motorcycle operated by James Barile which was traveling South on East Lake Road. Last month I was broad sided on hwy 19 by Wall Mart. I was riding in the center lane she (the driver) drifted into me from the left. Cars covered the right lane. I immediately called one of those "Attorneys" who "care for bikers". I'm now seeing a chiropractor four times a week and suffering from major pain. People are always heading to the swap meets so we thought visitors would like to participate in a virtual swap meet on Biker Cove. In case you haven't heard, there are plans to build a huge 13 story Muslim center and mosque a few yards from Ground Zero in NYC. Are they nuts or are we nuts for letting it happen. The mayor of NYC thinks it's a great idea. If this isn't a slap in the face I don't know what is.
